BACK TO SCHOOL PROMOTION
At the start of the school year, it's timely to remind parents about the strong relationship between vision & learning. Vision problems can be subtle, so children's eyes should be checked before they start school & every two years as they progress through school.
And with this "Back to School" XBOX 360 promotion from Strachan Eyecare & Jonathan Sceats Eyewear, there is no better time than now:
WIN AN XBOX 360! Is your child needing a new or spare pair of glasses for the school year?
To enter the drawer to win an XBOX 360, just purchase a full new pair of glasses, selecting a frame from any of our kids ranges before March 31 (package range frames excluded).
Good Luck!
UV PROTECTION AND YOUR EYES
We have an exciting selection of designer sunglasses in stock, including the new Carla Zampatti fashion range and the funky Zanerobe range as well as our traditional range of "good quality & affordable" sunglasses.
Many of our sunglasses are suitable for prescription tinted UV blocking lenses, even multifocals.
Fitovers, sun clip-ons & colour change TRANSITION lenses are other options for UV protection for spectacle wearers.
Great value sunglass packages are available - our popular MCRx packages start at $165 including single vision tinted UV lenses, while our designer packages start at $269, and include models from our CK, Guess, Michael Kors, Gant, Nike & Nautica sunglass ranges.
Outdoor workers may be able to claim sunglasses on their tax.
Our friendly professional staff will be able to advise about the best UV solution for you.
STAFF NEWS
Elisabeth is now on maternity leave, but we look forward to her return later in the year.
We are pleased to announce that Michelle has achieved a long held goal by being accepted by the Queensland University of Technology to study Optometry. We thank Michelle for her time with us & are very sad to see her leave but we know she will make an excellent Optometrist!
We wish Michelle all the best for her studies & hope to see her return to Strachan Eyecare as an Optometrist in the future.
SUE & LACEY ARE OFF TO INDIA
Sue will again be heading to Trichy in southern India in February on her seventh trip with overseas aid group EQUAL HEALTH. Lacey, one of our office team (and Sue & Greg's daughter), will be Sue's optical dispenser on her first EQUAL HEALTH camp.
The EQUAL HEALTH Team of health professionals provides care to poor people living in remote parts of rural India. The Optical team conducts basic eye tests & supplies free new glasses, & also facilitates cataract surgery for the many people who are unnecessarily blind or visually impaired.
For the EQUAL HEALTH team, it's a very busy but extremely rewarding experience.
Learn more about EQUAL HEALTH at www.equalhealth.org.au and at www.mivision.com.au/equalising-eyecare-in-the-villages/
& remember our Overseas Aid Box for old unwanted glasses at each practice.
